MHIT Mental Health Interpreting in Alabama

Posted on December 22, 2017 by MaineRID MembershipSecretary

Hello All,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that MHIT has begun accepting applications for their 16th Annual Interpreter Institute which will run July 30 – August 3, 2018.
To apply go to http://mhit.org/2018-institute.htm and review the detailed information carefully.
Remember, through federal grant funding, the CATIE Center’s BHI program can offer a fully paid registration and some financial assistance for travel to twenty (20) individuals who have been accepted into the Mental Health Interpreter Training (MHIT) in Alabama. To qualify for funding, an applicant must:
1. Successfully complete the MHIT training
2. Apply to and successfully complete the Q-MHI practicum

3. Submit a completed BHI program reimbursement application (these will be available upon the completion of MHIT), along with proof of completion for both the MHI Training and practicum, as well as, all paid receipts for the MHIT registration, travel, and lodging.

FYI, slots will fill up quickly!
